Teaching Leaders
Teaching Leaders is a 2-yea,r high-impact leadership development programme for ambitious, high-potential middle leaders in schools
serving pupils from challenging contexts. Teaching Leaders helps you to improve pupil outcomes in the key areas the curriculum and
close the achievement gap for disadvantaged children. The programme supports the long-term improvement of schools in challenging
contexts.
Year 2 includes a personalised curriculum informed by various audit and diagnostic tools. NPQML or NPQSL are available on this programme
for an additional fee (TBC).
The programme includes:

• A 4-day residential in August (27 – 30 ) and a 3-day mid-point residential
• 7 Saturday conferences over the two years focusing on leading teaching in your subject area or phase
• Access to a professional coach to guide you through your development journey
• Peer-learning groups allowing you to share best practice with peers in a similar context
• High-impact leadership activities such as instructional coaching, co-planning and research skills
• A study tour to a successful school in a similar context, using the EEF Families of Schools database
• Participants will also be expected to present impact projects to headteachers and governors at programme start and end to ensure
alignment with school priorities
Participants commit to stay in their sponsoring school for the duration of the programme.
