Preparing to become a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE)

                 Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) are outstanding practitioners, most likely but not exclusively senior and middle leaders, who have the
                 skills to support individuals and teams in similar positions in other schools.  This one-day course will help prepare participants to both apply
                 and successfully work as an SLE through a Teaching School.

                 Course Aims:
                    •  Explain how the application process works
                    •  Understand the principles of system leadership within the Teaching School mandate 

                    •  Explain the context of the SLE role within a school-to-school support system 

                    •  Understand how to carry out the SLE role effectively 

                    •  Enhance coaching skills 

                    •  Highlight the importance of emotional intelligence throughout the process
