Support for Principals

                 SPA’s central team provide a range of support briefings and training throughout the academic year for Principals.

                    1.  Partnership Board – the Trust’s main forum for Principal development, these are six equally spaced meetings designed to offer
                        training, guidance, advice and the sharing of ideas and initiatives.
                    2.  Principals’ Induction – in order to give Principals the best possible start when joining the Trust, they are invited to attend a series of
                        sessions and mentoring over their first twelve months.  Topics covered include: the role of your local governing body; performance
                        management; recruitment; safeguarding; and wellbeing and work/life balance.
                    3.  Principals’ Briefings – led by the Directors of Finance and Operations as well as the Trust’s Head of HR, these three sessions will
                        provide comprehensive, up-to-date guidance on matters of finance, health and safety and human resources.
                    4.  Business Leader Briefings and HR & Operations Briefings – additionally, a Principals’ support team in business/finance and HR will be
                        able to attend 3 briefings on the newest guidance and policies relevant to their roles.
