INTER-SCHOOL CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
                                        BOYS
Many people tend to believe that the Christian Religion is dying out because
there is nothing in it. How wrong they are. The House of God is growing in
increasing numbers because there really is a Holy Power guiding and strengthen
ing its members. Ask any real Christian if you are in doubt. Young and old
alike are proving Christ, by taking Him just as they are. Even the Iron Curtain
cannot stop the spread of the Good News to China and Russia.
Our I.S.C.F. group comprises a number of boys who meet on Mondays
in the lunch hour to talk about, hear about, and discuss things from the Word
of God concerning us today. We were saddened when our counsellor. Nev. Beutel.
had to leave us owing to a change in his occupation. Nev. has guided us for
many years, and for this we owe him our grateful thanks. Just prior to losing
Nev., we started combining with the girls. This most of us found to be an
enjoyable change (except for a few boys who don’t like girls).
This year we once again had a week-end camp, which all who attended
enjoyed. As well as the camp, we have held our usual social evenings, for one
of which we combined with the Wynnum North I.S.C.F. group. Attendances
have been good, and a good time is always had by all. New faces are always
welcome at our regular meetings, our social evenings, and our camp.
We. as a group, would like to thank Mr. Guy and all the members of the
staff who have helped us during the last twelve months. A special thank you
must go to Mr. Peacock for his help and guidance.
“Listen!” says Jesus. “I am coming soon ! I will bring my rewards with
me to give to each one according to what he has done.” (Rev. 22: 12; today's
        English Version.)
                                                         GRAHAM WARREN.
                                        GIRLS
With the leaving of the boys’ I.S.C.F. counsellor. Mr. Beutel. early in the
year, the boys and girls combined for all future meetings. These meetings were
held in Cl and A3, with the average attendance being about fifty.
During the year we had the opportunity to hear some interesting speakers
such as Eric Leach (Queensland Director for Youth for Christ). Bill Forward.
and Stan Ford. However, for many, the best of the I.S.C.F. activities was the
camp held late in July. About sixty campers enjoyed the hike, concert, and
studies, the camp being held at Greenwood, on the Pine River.
The Girls’ I.S.C.F. group would like to thank Mr. Guy for allowing us to
hold our meetings during the lunch hour. Thanks also to Mrs. Kirkegard.
who was our counsellor for the remainder of the year.
MOTTO: “To know Christ and to make him known.”
                                                    ELSPETH BLAIR.
