        April 11 : Our school performed well in the Queensland Life-saving
               Championships.

               Term exams started.

        removed from the new oval.
        April 18 : ‘‘At our wit’s end”
        because (a) the exams finished.
        (b) the graph of the sports’ fees made its appearance
        and (c) preparation.? for the fete began.
        April 24 : Anzac Day ceremonies at school. Wreaths placed round the trees.
        April 25: .Cadets paraded at Anzac Day services in Wynnum and Manly.
        April 29 : "Sensible people find nothing useless.” LA FONTAINE.
        A new Cottee’s machine made its appearance in the Physics
        Lab. with the Form V. girls in attendance.
        April 30 : “I am just going to leap into the dark.” RABELAIS.
        First term social in the Manly R.S.L.
        Music and Art of Speech exams held at the school.
        May 2 : May vacation commenced.
        May 12 : School resumed with the second term service when we were
        addressed by Rev. J. W. Nommensen.
        May 14 : Inter-school football, tennis and basketball commenced with
        match against Cavendish Road.
        May 15 : "All things must change to something new, to something
        new. to something strange.” LONGFELLOW.
        Wentworth’s House colour changed from white to gold.
        May 16 : "The nature of business is swindling.”
        6th Form’s tuck shop cleared the mighty sum of £8.
        May 16-24 : Senior students attended “King Lear,” produced by 12th
        Night Theatre in Albert Hall.
        May 18 : "See and be seen.” BEN JOHNSON.
        Cadets marched in Brisbane in the Commonwealth Youth
        Sunday Parade.
        May 20 : 5th Form’s tuck shop did even better with £10 more swindling?
        May 24 : “I want to see you shoot the way you shout.”
        Cadets went to Enoggera Rifle Range.
        Girls G.P.S. Inter-school basketball and tennis began with
        matches against St. Peter’s.
        May 26 : Presentation of Life-saving Awards.
        May 27 : Dr. Wright addressed Crusaders.
        June 7 : Annual School Fete opened by Mr. Hiley, M.L.A. Many braved
        the rain to see the numerous attractions, including hobbies
        display, bird show, weapons display, and Cadet parade.
        June 13 : The Morrie Rich Empire Games Appeal dance held in Manly R.S.L. Hall.
        June 16 : Cadets attended Queen’s Birthday Review at Victoria Park.
        June 20 : "The Chaos of Events.” BYRON.
        Ladies staff room moved to top floor.
        June 24 : Miss Miller from Cavendish Road High School addressed Crusader meeting.
        June 27 : Mrs. Lacy given a farewell party by the staff on her
        resignation from the Intermediate School.
