3.15. VESSEL LIGHTING
• There are three deck flood lights fitted to the wheelhouse roof on the port, starboard and rear of
the wheelhouse to light up the surrounding area. These are operated from the switchboard at the
coxswain’s seat and the fly bridge.
• There are white deck lights on the port and starboard sides of the deck going forward to the fore-
deck, operated from the switchboard at the coxswain’s seat.
• There are white deck lights on the port and starboard sides of the deck going forward to the fore-
deck, operated from the switchboard at the coxswain’s seat.
• The wheelhouse and forward cabin white/red light combinations are selected on the switch-
board at the coxswain’s seat. The wheelhouse lights are operated by the switch at the main cabin
door, and the forward cabin lights by the switch at the entrance to the forward cabin, below the
dashboard.
• In the tank space, toilet, engine room and rudder space each have a light switch to switch on
the white lights.
Spotlight:
The electric spotlight is fitted on the wheelhouse roof. It can be operated from the Navigator’s seat
and from the fly bridge spotlight controls. The light beam can be maneuvered up and down, and
left and right.
Handheld spotlights:
There are two handheld spotlights provided with power points in the following places:
• Fly Bridge
• Wheelhouse
• Forward cabin
• Engine room
