P. 9
Snooze’s drug free workplace policy is intended to comply with all state laws governing drug and alcohol testing and
is fully designed to safeguard Snoozer privacy rights to the extent of the law.
Harassment Free Workplace
Snooze strictly prohibits and does not tolerate unlawful harassment against another Snoozer or any other covered
persons because of race, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, sex (including pregnancy), gender (including gender
non conformity and status as a transgender or transsexual individual), age (40 and over), physical or mental disability,
citizenship, genetic information, past, current or prospective service in the uniformed services, marital status, sexual
orientation, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal state or local law.
Sexual Harassment
All Snoozer, other workers and representatives (including vendors, suppliers and guests) are prohibited from harassing
coworkers and other covered persons based on that individual’s sex or gender and regardless of the harasser’s sex or
gender.
Sexual harassment means any harassment based on someone’s sex or gender. It includes harassment that is not sexual
in nature (for example, offensive remarks about an individual’s sex or gender), as well as any unwelcome sexual advances
or requests for sexual favors or any other conduct of a sexual nature. Snooze will not tolerate any form of sexual
harassment, regardless of whether it is verbal, physical or visual.
Communication of a Complaint
If you are subjected to any conduct that you believe violates any of Snooze’s policies on creating a Harrasment Free
Workplace, you must promptly speak to, write or otherwise contact your manager, the Regional Manager, a member
of People Team or a Snooze Leadership Team member as soon as possible following the offending conduct. All
complaints will be kept confidential to the extent possible. Your complaint should be as detailed as possible, including
the names of all individuals involved and any witnesses. Snooze will directly and thoroughly investigate the facts and
circumstances of all claims of perceived harassment and will take prompt corrective action, if appropriate. No one will
be subject to, and Snooze prohibits, any form of discipline, reprisal, intimidation or retaliation for good faith reports
or complaints of incidents of sexual harassment or discrimination of any kind.
Additionally, any manager who observes discriminatory conduct has a responsibility to report the conduct to the
People Team as soon as possible so that an investigation can be made, and corrective action taken, if appropriate.
Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
In accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws, it is the policy of Snooze to recognize the essential rights of
all applicants and Snoozers as individuals and to recruit, hire and promote the best qualified person to do a particular
job without regard to race, religion, sex, age, disability, national origin or other protected classes. Our only
consideration in selecting a person for a job is the person’s ability to perform the job in question.
Snooze has resolved and pledged to promote Equal Employment Opportunity and all Snoozers are equally
responsible for upholding this policy. Any deliberate or willful violation by any Snoozer of the Snooze Equal
Employment Opportunity Policy, or of any procedure devised and implemented to give that policy force and effect,
will be liable for appropriate disciplinary action.
Snooze is fully committed to creating safe and welcoming environment for all. We celebrate individuality and
inclusivity and pride ourselves on being a place where all are welcome. We take it seriously and you should too!
