MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH CARE (MCH)
Disadvantages of home delivery:
1. Normal cases may become suddenly complicated despite the best
screening process. Certain complications are difficult to predict.
2. There is no constant attention for the mother and baby, and skilled
help is not readily available.
3. The mother may resume her household responsibilities too soon
when there is inadequate help in the home.
4. The mother’s diet may be neglected.
