                              necessary to demonstrate a raised level of glucose in the blood either in the
                              fasting sample or in the sample 2 hr post administration of 75 gram glucose


                              Other Special Tests for Diagnosing Diabetes

                              a) Oral Glucose tolerance test

                                 This test is not used communion in the insurance setting as it requires blood samples to be
                                 taken within 2 hrs.


                              b) Glvcosylated Hemoglobin test

                                 Glucose in the blood sticks to the hemoglobin in red blood cells to make
                                 molecule called Glvcosvlated Hemoglobin. It is present in blood in 3 forms
