The average affordability of health services varies among regions. For doctor consultations, it is BDT
148 per month (Dhaka: BDT 54, Tangail: BDT 128, Meherpur: BDT 183). Diagnosis costs BDT 360 per
month (Dhaka: BDT 168, Tangail: BDT 410, Meherpur: BDT 345). For medicine, households can afford
BDT 394 per month (Dhaka: BDT 201, Tangail: BDT 551, Meherpur: BDT 397). Hospitalization costs
BDT 111 per month (Dhaka: BDT 35, Tangail: BDT 171, Meherpur: BDT 52). Respondents find transport
costs affordable at BDT 50 per month (Dhaka: BDT 72, Tangail: BDT 54, Meherpur: BDT 46).
4.6 Decision Maker in The Households by Role
Among 439 respondents, the majority of households (55.4%) make healthcare decisions jointly by
both husband and wife. In Dhaka, husbands predominantly take healthcare decisions in 46.9% of households,
