VI. Service Coverage of Health Card
Only 26 respondents mentioned the service coverage of the health card they are using. Among
them, 25 respondents were from Tangail and only one from Dhaka. However, 96.2% of respondents
mentioned that health cards cover all required services. 100% of respondents in Dhaka and 96% of
respondents in Tangail mentioned that health cards cover all required services. Only one respondent
from Tangail mentioned that the health card doesn’t cover kidney problems, and he needed additional
BDT 18,100 for kidney treatment.

However, in the follow-up questions about naming service coverage, only 21 respondents mentioned
the name of service coverage of the health card they are using. Among them, 20 respondents were from
Tangail and only one from Dhaka. However, five households from Tangail mentioned that their health
cards cover all inpatient services. Fourteen households including one from Dhaka mentioned that their
health cards cover medicine, diagnosis, and transport costs. Only two households from Tangail said that
their health cards cover medicine and diagnosis costs.
