Fire & Feast Festival Johannesburg

The annual festival to celebrate all things meat and braai took place from 6
to 8 September.

To leverage partnerships in order to achieve a favourable price for the
sponsorship, the Pork Theatre was be shared this year by SAPPO, Malu and
Lynca.

Celebrity chefs and other pork savvy chefs did public demonstrations to a sit-
down audience.

The SAPPO team also braaied, cooked and presented many delicious tasting
samples to visitors to the show.

Meat masterclass cooking events for African consumers

A series of 5 training events took place in conjunction with True Love and Move
Magazines.
These events included pre- and post-publicity in True Love and Move for the
pork cooking training events,

These events were a big success, and all the participants enjoyed these
cooking classes thoroughly, learning many new pork cooking skills,

Roots Pork Festival in Soweto

This SAPPO and Lynca initiative took place on 2 and 3 August, and the Roots
customers attending the event thoroughly enjoyed the pork tasting dishes.

Discussions are currently held to possibly hold more events with Roots and
with the Econo Food Store groups in township areas.
