Trevi Fountain
The fountain is leaning against the facade of the palace of
the Dukes of Poli, it was built on commission of Clement XII by
Nicola Salvi who was inspired by a design by Bernini.
In addition to being very famous, it is a fantastic architectural
scene dominated by the central niche where the statue of
Neptune is found on the chariot pulled by sea horses, led by two
tritons.
In the left niche there is the statue of Abundance and in the
right one the statue of Health. The surprising play of the waters that
bubble up from the central cliff and from the numerous side rocks
create a truly unforgettable ensemble.
