1. Definition of Exposition Text
Exposition exposition is a form of text or writing
that contains information or knowledge. In general,
exposition text itself has the aim of providing an
explanation or description of an idea, main idea, opinion,
information or knowledge to the reader without the
intention of influencing it. This is what makes the
purpose of expository text is to convey information or

knowledge based on facts according to a certain point of
view. When creating an expository text, it is usually
aimed at discussing issues in society, such as Covid-19,
issues about education, issues about the economy, and so
on. By writing expository text, readers will have a
