The purpose of an expository text is to increase
                              the reader's knowledge about a particular topic. By
                              presenting  detailed  and  in-depth  information,  the

                              writer hopes to expand the reader's understanding.
                              The information presented is not only based on facts
                              but  is  also  explained  in  an  easy-to-understand
                              manner. For example, in an expository text about the
                              latest technology in education, the writer will explain
                              various  technological  innovations  and  how  these
                              technologies can be used to improve the teaching and
                              learning process. Thus, the reader not only gains new

                              information but also a better.





                       1.  Characteristic of Exposition Text
                           a.  The exposition text is written perfectly.

                           b.  Writing is universal, global and based on facts.

                           c.  Related to science.

                           d.  Use standard language.

                           e.  Be objective and impartial.
                           f.  The writing format is clear, concise, and concise.

                           g.  The information style is persuasive or inviting.

                           h.  Present the text clearly, straightforwardly and using

                              language that is easy to understand.
