“The nature-loving movement with the basis
of "healthy environmental awareness" has begun to
spread among teenagers. There are many
environmental associations whose members consist
of students, be it junior high school students, high
school students, or teenagers from Islamic boarding
schools. The courage to conduct scientific research is
increasingly widespread, especially at the high
school level. Such phenomena are proof that today's
teenagers are not always negative.”
At the beginning of the paragraph, the author
explained that the nature lover movement is starting
to be in high demand among teenagers. In addition,
these teenagers also have the courage to conduct
scientific research. Then, at the end of the paragraph,
the writer concludes that these things are proof that
teenagers today are not always doing negative
activities. Now, this conclusion is the main idea of the
paragraph.
c. Illustration
Moving on to the next development pattern. In
the illustration development pattern, the writer will
convey ideas at the beginning of the paragraph.
Then, it is detailed with several illustrations that can
support these ideas. This illustration is in the form of
reinforcing data that comes from the author's
experience or observation. The purpose is to prove
the ideas presented.
Example:
Exercise is a series of activities that nourish the
body. The reason is, by exercising we can avoid
disease. For example, swimming, a sport that is done
in water, is very useful for nourishing the health of
