Jong Min Jung
M.S. Applied Economics and Management | SC Johnson College of
Business
Jong Min is a first-year M.S. student at the SC Johnson College of
Business, majoring in applied economics and management with an
international and development economics concentration. He hopes to
build on his main research interest and skills in health policy and
economic development to support early childhood nutrition. Born and
raised in South Korea, where he also served in the military, he moved to
United States and, prior to joining Cornell, Jong Min received a
bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston University.
Soyuz Foods Xuqian Ma
M.S., Applied Economics & Management | SC Johnson College of
Business
Xuqian is a first-year M.S. student in Applied Economics and
Management, concentrating in international and development
economics. Born and raised in Beijing, China, Xuqian is passionate
about improving the welfare of underserved populations, especially
children, in emerging economies through empirical public finance.
Before coming to Cornell, she was an undergraduate student at the
University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where she developed a deep
interest in development economics. Xuqian also worked as a research
assistant for Stanford’s Rural Education Action Program (REAP).
