Ralph Christy
Professor of Applied Economics and Management | SC Johnson College of
Business
Dr. Christy is a professor of emerging markets and Director of the Emerging
Markets Program at Cornell University, where he teaches and conducts food
marketing research on the economic performance of markets and distribution
systems. He has advised industry leaders and public policy makers on food
marketing strategies, economic development, and the organization of the
global food economy. His recent research calls attention to the role of creating
an enabling environment for accelerating agro-industries' contributions to
economic development. He will serve as faculty advisor for all the 2021
SMART teams.

Lin Fu
Research Fellow, Emerging Markets Program | SC Johnson College of
Business
Lin Fu is a research fellow with Cornell’s Emerging Markets Program, housed
in the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. She
was previously a visiting fellow at the Brookings Institution. Her research Team Leaders and Advisor
interests include political economy, economic development, entrepreneurship,
and food and agricultural policy. She has been a consultant on research
projects for various organizations, including the Economist Intelligence Unit,
the Asian Productivity Organization, and Control Risks. Prior to Cornell, she
worked for a number of years in finance and project management consulting.
Lin holds graduate degrees from Cornell University and the London School of
Economics. She will serve as team leader for the 2021 SMART Indonesia,
Kenya (M-Farm), Philippines, and Rwanda teams.

Ndunge Kiiti
Visiting Professor | SC Johnson College of Business & Adjunct Faculty |
Dr. Kiiti is a visiting professor at the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied
Economics and Management, an adjunct faculty at Emory University's Rollins
School of Public Health in Atlanta, GA, and is the director of the SMART
Program. Her collaborative research highlights the use and impact of mobile
money technology by women’s micro-credit groups, the ‘Jua Kali’ or informal
business sector, and smallholder farmers in emerging markets. Dr. Kiiti has a
Ph.D. in communication from Cornell University which included a one-year
study in international health at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Dr.
Kiiti will serve as team leader for 2021 SMART Botswana, Kenya (Azuri
Health), Uganda, and Zambia teams.
