BRIEFING TRAINING ON CUSTOMS FORMALITY PROCEEDINGS
FOR IMPORT AND EXPORT OPERATORS UNDER AUTHORIZED
ECONOMIC OPERATOR PROGRAM

On 3 and 4 September 2019
At Customs Department Club, 2nd Floor, the Customs Department

Thai Customs Department has been
implementing Authorized Economic Operator
(AEO) program and planned to establish Mutual
Recognition Arrangement (MRA) with foreign
customs counterparts to strengthen cooperation
in maintaining security in the international trade
supply chain and mutually exchanging customs
procedure privileges. At the present, Thai
Customs Department has signed AEO-MRA
with customs counterparts from Hong Kong,
South Korean and Singapore and issued Customs
Department Notification No.165/2562 dated 16
August 2019 on customs import and export
formality proceedings for AEO program, as a
basis for privilege exchanging under the MRA,
and Customs Department Notification
No.166/2562 dated 19 August 2019 on Customs
Counterparts having agreed on MRAs for AEO
program.
To further facilitate the implementations stated
above, the Customs Department has organized
the Briefing Training on customs formality
proceedings for import and export for operators
under AEO Program to promote knowledge and
understanding among AEO operators so they
can efficiently and properly cope with customs
import and export procedures and benefit from
the privileges under the MRA.
