Agreements Effective Progress of Implementation
The agreement is now effective in 5 partner countries: Hong Kong (China), Myanmar,
Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. It is not yet effective in the other 6 partner
countries due to their internal process. Once notified of the readiness to enforce
AHKFTA, the Customs Department will issue a Customs Department Notification

China, Free Trade Agreement and the obligations in the Protocol Governing the
Implementation of The ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature and announced in
the Royal Thai Government Gazette, in Announcements and General Affairs Section,
Book No. 136 Special Section 131 dated 23 May 2019.
There are only 83 products subjected to tariff reduction scheme. Recently, there

not yet successful.
At the present, Thailand has reduced tariff on imports from Australia down to 0%

Economic Partnership Since 1 November 2007 (PSR) following Harmonized System 2002 (HS2002). Most recently, Thailand
Agreement (JTEPA) and Japan are in a discussion to adjust PSR from HS2002 to HS 2017.
