Making progress measurable
as the result of several interlinked and scientifically percentage-
weighted personality traits. In ASSESS, the linking of personality
traits and competencies is made possible by a competency library.
For example, a manager who is to possess the competency "goal-
oriented leadership" (because he or she can use this competency to
contribute to the realization of the company's vision) must have
certain personality traits. For the competence of "goal-oriented
leadership", these are personality traits such as "self-confidence",
"positive view of people" and "emotional balance".
In addition, job-specific competency models can be created in this
way. Let's assume that the competency model for a top executive
states that he or she should have a high degree of proficiency in
the following twelve competencies:
1. Innovative strength
2. Decision-making power
3. Leadership in change processes
4. Entrepreneurial thinking
5. Planning and organizational skills
6. Result-oriented action
7. Learning Agility
8. Persuasion
9. Leadership
10. Employee development
11. Team leadership
12. Relationship Management
The management is convinced: "A manager who possesses all these
twelve competencies to a high degree can make an optimal
contribution to realizing our corporate goals and our vision at his or
her place of work."
