SECOND STREET APARTMENTS

The Second Street Apartments project, built for Sarasota Second Street Owner, LLC,
included the new construction of a 10-story 407,279 square foot multifamily apartment
complex located in Sarasota, Florida. The building houses 180 units comprised of one-,
two-, and three-bedroom suites, a 251-space parking deck, shell space for retail stores, and
two hotel-style suites for short-term rentals to residents’ guests. The multifamily apartment
complex was constructed on an auger case piles foundation with a post-tension cast in
place concrete foundation. A metal framed, drainable exterior panel board system and
thermoplastic polyolefin roof completed the construction. The project also featured quartz
counter tops, large windows, 10 foot ceilings, and a fitness center as well as a rooftop,
resort style pool, club room, and an outdoor deck. The multifamily apartment complex
achieved LEED Silver Certification for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
from the U.S. Green Building Council for using energy efficient materials. Due to CORE’s
construction efforts, the Second Street Apartments now provides luxury rental multifamily
housing in the urban community of downtown Sarasota.
