LEADERSHIP
The direction of any organization is
dependent upon the command and
leadership team. Our agency believes
in developing our leaders by exposing
them to the latest leadership training
available. Supervisors are sent to
courses through LLRMI, FBI LEEDA,
and LEMIT to develop their
management skills and leadership
competencies. In addition, our Chief is
an instructor at a local police institute
and a local police academy. We know
st
that 21 century policing requires
leaders who never stop learning.
We understand that it is not just our current supervisors who need development;
we need to make leaders at every level. In the Chief’s office is a “Leadership
Library.” The Library consists of various leadership books which are available to
any member of the department. Our officers are also encouraged to seek leadership
training for their personal growth and to help prepare them for career
advancement.
