and dancing or just stay active around the house doing chores such as
cleaning the bathroom or kitchen.
There are all kinds of activities that you can do every day to increase
your physical prowess. The key is to get 30 minutes of exercise each
day. Again, if you’ve not exercised in some time (or ever), be sure to
slowly increase how often you exercise as well as its intensity.
Taking Medication (Insulin and Diabetes Pills)
Type 1 diabetics and some type II diabetics will need to use insulin to
reduce their blood sugar levels. People using insulin, which is a liquid
hormone, are doing so because the body doesn’t generate enough of
it. It’s usually given by insulin pump or shot.
Most type II diabetics can take diabetes pills because the body
generates the insulin but is unable to use it properly.
The doctor will determine how the medication is taken, but make sure
that any side affects you notice are reported to your doctor. The
diabetes pill is not a substitute for a healthy lifestyle but in addition to
your healthy regime.
There are cases where some type II diabetics never need either one
but follow a healthy diet and get regular amounts of exercise to treat
the condition.
Why You Need To Self-Monitor Your Blood Sugar
Level
A blood glucose monitor can help you to monitor your blood glucose
levels.
Be sure to log these readings in a diary to get a good idea of how the
treatment is going. You can do this multiple time a day or once a day –
the choice is really up to you and your doctor.
