Diabetic Clarity

               Chapter 4: What Are The

               Serious Complications of Out-

               Of-Control Diabetes

               ____________________________________

There are so many hidden dangers associated with diabetes –
before the diagnosis and afterward if the condition is left
               untreated.

Its why diabetes has become known as the silent killer. According to
various statistics, there are about 18 million type 1 and type 2
diabetics living in the U.S. – that’s not including pregnant women with
gestational diabetes or the other kinds of diabetes people can suffer
               from.

Most people, diabetics too, have no inkling of how dangerous their
disease can be. Would it surprise you to know that diabetics will die –
on average – 10 years earlier than people without diabetes?

Why the shorter lifespans though – even if they are taking good care
of themselves? This is a not-so-easy answer, but it all boils down to
the complications diabetes patients tend to have.
