Intergenerational Music Making
Intergenerational Music Making is a national not-for-
profit organisation which delivers programmes, training,
campaigning & research to improve the mental and
physical wellbeing of the old and the young in
communities across the UK, through the power of music.

IMM was delighted to welcome the BBC to film one of their
projects in action for this year's Comic Relief.
The film starring residents of Lakeview Lodge Care Home in
Milton Keynes and Year 6 pupils from Water Hall Primary School
celebrated the final week of an intergenerational music project
which connected the care home with their local school to bring
joy and create lasting friendships.
“I feel lucky to be a resident at Lakeview during this time. The
lady who leads the session is so energetic and vibrant. The songs
and beats became familiar once you heard the music. You just
forget where you are and get involved with it.”
