The safest course - in most cases - is to make covert recordings for your personal use, with the
objective of refreshing your memory to ensure that your witness statements, affidavits or
other evidence are accurate. The fact that your opponents’ lawyers – through hostile cross-
examination - compel you to produce the recording in evidence – to their detriment - is their
problem.

1.5 Hardware and controls.
The main features and controls of the device are illustrated in Figure 1:

The identification of the A(+) and B(-) buttons is indistinct and easily confused.

We therefore recommend that you attach small differently coloured stickers to the device as
shown in Figure 2. This makes operations easier, especially when accessing the SETTINGS
MENU.
