Operating Guide for the JNN-Q25 Voice Recorder
Continued
Do not delete or rename the RECORD directory, the RECORD-VOICE directories or DLL
• Subdirectories can be created. For example, separate directories can be opened for
each case:
• All file formats (for example Word, Excel and audio) can be transferred or copied Page | 8
onto the device (when it functions as a conventional USB stick)
• File names can be changed. If you do this, keep a secure note of the original file
name.
We strongly recommend that all files on the device are backed up onto a computer before
and after each recording session and before settings are changed.
4 TURNING THE DEVICE ON AND OFF
4.1 Basic operations
The device is turned ON by moving switch C from the OFF position to the left: one notch
to PLAY and two notches to RECORD. On some devices the switch is difficult to set in the
PLAY position.
If this happens push the switch C fully to the left to REC and then back to the right to PLAY.
If the DISPLAY remains blank (after being switched to the PLAY or REC mode) the most
likely cause is that the battery is flat.
If this happens, plug the device to a USB power source and the DISPLAY should illuminate.
Allow the battery time to charge before using the device.
If the device has not been protected with a PASSWORD (see xx) it will open and DISPLAY
slightly differently depending on the mode selected as shown in Table 3.
