Dedication of “Goldie’s Playground”
at Chabad of Sarasota
A new and beautiful playground at Chabad of Sarasota (7700 Beneva
Road), to be named “Goldie’s Playground,” has just completed the fi-
nal phase of construction. A dedication will be held on site at 5:00 p.m.
Although this project is dedicated to the memory of Goldie Shifrin, the
mother of Sara Steinmetz who passed away of Covid-19, this was certainly
a community-wide project. The dedication will acknowledge sponsors and
donors, and will include a delightful outdoor dinner, the kindling of a Lego
menorah, and fun activities for the young and young at heart. This free
