Result
Overall, students spent most of their On-Task time on word processing (i.e. Microsoft Word), online learning
(Learning management system(LMS), online learning websites), PowerPoint, online collaboration (i.e. Google
docs), and Email. Students spent most of their Off-Task time on computer gaming (i.e. Flappy golf and the
peseduo-educational coomath-games), streaming videos (i.e. Netflix, YouTube, Movie player), sport (i.e.
NBA, FIFA sites), and streaming music. Figure 4 shows the proportion of duration of top 10 On-Task and Off-
Task activities by category.
In a subset of data with attributable gender, boys spent most of their On-Task time on the computer word
processing, online learning, using PowerPoint, and on online collaboration and YouTube. Boys spent most of
their Off-Task time on gaming, streaming videos, sport, and streaming music. Figure 5 shows the proportion
of duration of the top 10 On-Task and Off-Task activities by category for boys.
Girls had similar On-Task behaviour, but spent more of their Off-Task time on streaming videos followed by
gaming. Figure 6 shows the proportion of duration of top 10 On-Task and Off-Task activities for girls.
