That’s Crazy
Jerome also began calling every person that I had introduced him
to. Son of a b….! He had contacted Giselle's clients and sent them a
letter stating that she did not have 51% ownership and a lot of other
false information. Giselle's clients said crazy Jerome had shown up
unannounced at his office. Additionally, he was contacting all of the
CGS clients and making slanderous statements about us.
All of that was good because his behavior gave Giselle the
ammunition she needed to fire him. His suspension letter stipulated
he was not to contact any client, employees or come near the office.
He had violated all of the above. Based on the cell phone calls he had
broken the contract during the first week of his suspension.
Giselle contacted the attorney to draft a letter to have his
termination effective by the beginning of summer. As a part of the
terms, she would purchase his shares, because she did not want to
have any parts of him. We had to offer a deal on the table to buy him
out.
In hindsight, we probably should have waited. Giselle and I were
too emotional, and we were still trying to be nice to him. We offered
a year's salary with health insurance and car payments for the Range
Rover. This crazy man responded that he wanted four years of salary
with benefits you see, CRAZY again. That was not going to happen.
