to repay them. The fortunate thing was the housing market was
booming, our house had doubled in value, we paid $350,000 and the
going price was $650,000.
After we agreed on the price, Larry had the nerve to say he would
come and inspect the house to make sure it was to show. I became
pissed at him and asked him to ask his buddy if the house was clean
when I moved backed in and how his no-handy-man-self had messed
up the house by painting all over the trims and the so-called
renovation he did. Larry quickly got out of the house. I guess he had
never seen me go off on anyone.
They both were anticipating getting paid and they wanted me to
make sure everything was in order. Two days after placing the house
on the market we had an offer for the asking price.
The next day, crazy Leroy and Larry wanted me to meet them at
Larry’s office to sign the contract. Christine told me I should not go
over there by myself. I told her I would not be doing anything but
signing the contract, so I could get the bank off my back; BIG
MISTAKE.
When I arrived, Leroy and Larry were waiting for me with the
contract in hand. I sat down and began to read the contract, I noticed
they had me moving out of the house by the end of May, which would
only give me two weeks' notice to pack up the house and all the stuff
from the business and find a place to live. I had a renter in my condo
whose lease would not expire until November. I looked at the
