windows in the basement. Crazy Leroy, in his paranoia, had glued the
windows together. I finally realized that was what was all over the
basement floor. We could not figure out what those strips were when
I moved back into the house the previous September. Crazy Leroy
thought someone was going to break into his mansion. The fool did
not realize he was also glued in.
I called Leroy since he thought I was crazy anyway and informed
him Courtney was acting as my power of attorney and he would have
to deal with her on the sale of the house and the divorce settlement.
Courtney says she was the surrogate wife. Crazy Leroy thought he
could fix the items the inspector had requested to be repaired and I
arranged for Christine to deal with him when he would come over to
fix the items. I did not want to see him or be around him. Of course,
each time he came he was drunk. I know he could not stand the fact
that I was not talking to him and he had to deal with Christine and
Courtney. Thank God for my strong sister friends.
Once Courtney became my acting POA, she had to negotiate my
portion of the settlement with crazy Leroy. Negotiating had never
been my strength. Crazy Leroy felt since I had collateralized the loan
for the business and my portion owed on the loan should be my
portion of the settlement. Courtney told crazy, the law does not
operate where he has benefited from the good of the business and
now that the business was defunct, he wanted no parts of the bad.
When we would settle, the profit would be $320,000, minus the
