thrown in with the sharks.

When I started working for this company, my immediate

supervisor and the Hispanic female were on an equal level. The owner

promoted the Hispanic female over my supervisor, and she became
the first female Vice President.

My immediate supervisor did not like the Hispanic female and did
not want to have anything to do with her after her promotion. The

new Vice President did not have the time to deal with my immediate
supervisor's attitude and began to bypass her to work with me directly.

My immediate supervisor did not realize she was giving her power
away by not dealing with the new sheriff in town.

The new vice president understood she had to grow our area to
compete with the white boys who were doing their best to make sure

she failed. She had no time to play and my first order by the New Vice
President was to create an operational manual for our growing

conference department. My immediate supervisor did not know of my
new task and I had to keep it undercover. I had hired another sister

under me, whom my immediate supervisor did not like either. My

immediate supervisor would get mad at the staff and go in her office
and shut the door and not speak to anyone. I believe she just did not
have the skills or know-how to manage a division and the owner and

the new Vice President knew we had to put systems in place because

we were growing in leaps and bounds.
