Bring Math Alive - Collect and Analyze Data Using the TI-
84 Plus CE and TI-Nspire CX II
Understanding data is important in many areas of life and students are much more engaged
when they collect their own data. We will explore how a CBR2 motion detector can be used to
help students build a conceptual understanding of distance and time, including the connection
to rate of change, speed and velocity. We will also collect data using a temperature probe and
analyze this data to determine a line of best fit, discuss correlation, and predict behavior.
