demand for love. In a child's heart, if they like you, you are
just another person no matter your social status.
I believe that Michael Jackson draws a sense of normalcy
from interacting with children. It's hard to imagine how it feels
to be forced to live in a plastic bubble, unable to do what aver-
age people do or go where average people go without being
mugged by star crazed fans. I believe that Michael Jackson's
relationship with children is simply a need that we all have -
to be treated like a normal human being. Children are very
capable of not letting who you are interfere with their desire
to play and have a good time with no strings attached.
Michael Jackson has had to contend with so much false pub-
licity from the media, trying to expose him as being abnormal
or some type of freak, that he does not trust very many people
outside of his immediate family. Strangely enough, the only
people that he did trust, were open to media bashing. There
were always unsubstantiated write-ups in the major newspa-
pers and tabloids speculating about the children Michael Jack-
son befriended and their relationships. Michael Jackson set the
record straight in a 90-minute interview with Oprah Winfrey.
He denied most of the rumors that the newspapers had been
writing about him on several issues and relationships.
Michael Jackson's sister, Janet, was quoted as saying that
Michael Jackson's flaw was not giving interviews and going
on talk shows, which would have allowed the public a chance
to get to know the real Michael Jackson.
One of the media's main areas of misunderstanding about
Michael Jackson at the time was why he never married. The
child molestation allegations were a welcomed answer to that
question. Obviously, if you are not married or never married,
you must be gay or a child molester-right? Wrong!
In the world we live in, you are either heterosexual (love
the opposite sex), bisexual (prefer both sexes) or gay (prefers
one's own sex). In the Christian world there is a fourth cat-
egory called "chaste" (innocent of unlawful intercourse; celi-
bate or abstinent). In order to keep the laws of God, a Chris-
tian is not allowed to have a sexual relationship with anyone
