3. Parts of Speech
The English Alphabet consist of twenty six letters. A group of letters makes a
word and a group of words forms a sentence.
Thus, a language is made up of words and sentences.
Almost all words are divided into eight kinds called the parts of speech ,
according to their use in a sentence.

2. Pronoun 6. Preposition
3. Adjective 7. Conjunction
4. Verb 8. Interjection
1. Noun : A noun is a naming word. For example , cow , doll , apple , Kanpur , etc.

3. Adjective : An adjective is a word that describes a noun or pronoun.

4. Verb : A verb is used to show an action or a state of being. For example , play ,
