Acceptance
As you have probably already seen, life doesn’t ask for your opinion
on how it should move. It simply moves. One day is sunny; one day is
clouded; one day is rainy. Life moves unrestrictedly, on its own terms
(terms which, if you are patient enough, turn out to be the perfect
terms).
Even though you may agree with what I’ve just said, you will likely
continue to live as if it’s otherwise. I’m not saying that you will do
that on purpose. I know that, if you cannot live in this way yet, if you
cannot allow life to be exactly how it is right now, it is because some-
thing else dictates the course of your experience - something that
seems to currently be the centre of your existence, something that is
known as “ego”.
'Ego' basically represents a sense of personal self, seen as being op-
posed to life’s way and with a destiny other than life’s. If we were to
encapsulate ego in one statement, it would sound something like: “I
don’t need your help life - I got this”. This is the message that a hu-
man being, in the phase of ego, sends out to life, moment by mo-
ment by moment.
Still, ego is not a mistake.
It is very important to understand that ego is not a mistake. It’s not
something that went wrong, because ultimately, ego is also life, and
life cannot make mistakes, for life is all and all is life.
