GOAL 2

Prepare students to be college and career ready

when they complete KEC programs.

Objectives:

2.1) Continue to implement and follow Illinois Learning
Standards

2.2) Develop a “Life Skills” portion to curriculum

2.3) Continue to require every student to participate in a public

service project and all seniors to attend the KEC Next Steps

Conference

2.4) Enhance and streamline KEC Transition To College Program

for high school seniors

2.5) Continue to map and evaluate how math and reading are

an integral part of the CTE curriculum so that CTE students
hit AYP in those subjects

2.6) Continue to offer internships and job-shadowing

opportunities in class specific programs

2.7) Continue to provide social-emotional learning skills and
soft skill activities through a staff-students mentoring

program in alternative education

2.8) Use all technology available through Google Classroom
and on-line resources to make one-to-one learning

available for students
