 While this kit is designed to be permanent, over time the ethanol preservative within the sample
vials may exhibit a color change. In the event of this color change, the ethanol may simply be
replaced. To replace the ethanol the specimens within the vial should first be removed. The
ethanol within the vial should then be discarded and replaced with a fresh 70 % ethanol/water
solution.
