               I Am A Hoarder…

I have had my own house for 50 and a couple of little fluffy Pekinese
years and in that time have collected dogs!
up a lot of ‘stuff’. I last moved 24
years ago and all the ‘stuff’ in my loft What has this got to do with the
and cupboards came too, only to be Newsletter you may ask? Well, a lot
put in the new loft and even more of the ‘stuff’ was from my huge
cupboards as I now had more room. collection of doggie paraphernalia! I
Now at the age of 77, I decided that started showing Leazehond Bevis,
I needed a clear out! My loft is well Toby, in 1990 and have kept every
insulated and 2/3 of the floor is single schedule and catalogue ever
boarded, plus the V beams, down since. (I did stop buying the latter
both sides of the centre, give loads and just paid 50p for the Keeshond
of room to put bits of wood on to pages from other breed owners.)
provide more space for more boxes They were stored very neatly in boxes
etc. This year I started by clearing on the floor of the loft and more
out things I did not need and recent ones in a large cupboard in
donated crockery and other kitchen the basement. They all had to go and
utensils to my daughter, a friend and as I had also saved every single
charity shops. Next it was old sheets, placement card from shows since
curtains and clothes to the clothes then, in a scrapbook for every year,
I still have a good record of all the
bank. A lot of brand new tee-shirts,
jewellery and ornaments results for all my dogs. Also in the
        went to charity shops and
old retro stuff went to some
friends of Laura who have a
        shop selling this type of
        stuff. Lastly a huge amount
went up to the tip to be
        recycled, where possible,
        which included things like all
my files and notes from A-
        levels and university, plus
old toys and bricks from my
        childhood. I have kept my
        china doll, a hard plastic
doll, a fluffy chick I used to
put under my chin to sleep,
