HEALTH CLUB
Renbrook participates in a health club membership program with HealthTrax. Employees can join the club at
significant savings from the published rates. Enrollment opportunities coincide with the school year
(September-August). Salary reduction forms are required in order to deduct dues from employees’ paychecks
throughout the calendar year. Participation is completely voluntary. Employees terminating school employment
prior to the end of year of participation will be required to reimburse the school for the balance immediately.
NOZKO SUMMER SABBATICAL GRANTS
These grants are supported by an endowment established by the Nozko family. Annually, one or two members
of the full-time faculty or administration who have performed successfully at Renbrook for more than five
years are awarded grants of $4,000 each. The grants are awarded on the basis of seniority. There are few
restrictions on the use of the grant money; designed originally for travel, it can also fund research projects, or
cover emergency expenses. Recipients are expected to provide documentation appropriate for the
disbursement of these school funds prior to July 31.
The amount awarded will be subject to annual investment returns generated by the school’s Endowment Fund
and may not be awarded in each fiscal year.
Note:
1. This grant IS considered taxable income and awards will be added to employee gross
wages and reported on form W-2.
2. Beginning with the academic year 2009, employees will not change designations for these
purposes, and will maintain their seniority within their original peer group.
THE SARAH PRUD’HOMME ENDOWMENT FOR CREATIVE TEACHING
The purpose of the endowment is to honor and perpetuate Sarah Prud’homme’s work at Renbrook by giving
teachers access to resources, which will help them to teach more creatively. The amount awarded will be
subject to annual investment returns generated by the school’s Endowment Fund and may not be awarded in
each budget year. The award may be used in two major areas:
Curriculum Enrichment
Funds might be used for such resources as artists in the classroom, tools and materials, and study
resources.
Faculty Enrichment / Professional Development
Teachers should be encouraged to seek out workshops, fellowships, and other individual study
opportunities, which will help them to integrate the creative arts into their classrooms.
Procedure for applying for the Prud’homme grant:
• Applicants should complete a professional development request form and submit to the Head of
School. The deadline for applications will be December 15.
• The Head of School and Division Heads will meet by January 15 to approve (deny) requests, and write
a response to applicants stating the decision.
• If a request is approved, the recipient should provide appropriate documentation to the Business Office
for the disbursement of these funds.
• The amount awarded will be subject to annual investment returns generated by the School's
Endowment Fund and may not be awarded in each budget year.
Note: This grant is NOT considered taxable income.
