PATERNITY LEAVE
Renbrook has developed a simple plan that meets the individual employee’s need without disrupting the
school’s educational process. While the school understands that individual circumstances will vary from time to
time, fathers will be offered the opportunity to have time off from their duties during the week nearest the
child’s birth. As a normal model Renbrook will provide paid time off up to five full days.
OTHER BENEFITS
BJ’S WAREHOUSE
The school has a corporate relationship, which allows individuals to have personal accounts at reduced rates.
Enrollment typically occurs in March, but other times can be arranged by the Business Office.
CHILD CARE
Offered to enrolled students only, the School provides childcare at no charge to employees who are working
at Renbrook five (5) weekdays prior to the opening employee meeting in September, and in June for the days
following the Lower School dismissal through the date of the final employee meeting.
Similarly, the School provides childcare, at no charge, on employee Professional Development Days, Parent-
Teacher Conference Days (faculty only), and for any other workday(s) where an employee meeting is held
outside of regular work hours .
The School does not provide childcare at no charge, during Winter Break, Spring Break, or summer vacation
days not listed in either of the paragraphs above.
The Vacation Care procedure (offered to enrolled students only, and for the June period for students whose
contract has expired but whose parent still works for the school) is as follows:
1. Employees (like all other parents) have to sign up ahead of time (deadline to be announced).
Employees will be treated like all other parents in this regard. *Please meet the deadline.
2. Employees are charged a reduced fee for each student ($25/half-day or $50/full day subject to
revisions announced annually).
3. If you change your mind at the last minute, please notify appropriate school personnel within 48 hours
of the appointed date. No-shows will be charged, and the school will not cover this cost.
4. If a student comes to school with his/her parent, the student must be registered for childcare with the
school. We cannot afford the liability of having students running loose over the playgrounds or
anywhere else, without supervision and under no obligation to abide by our child care rules. Please
help us to avoid this potentially dangerous problem.
5. Employee students who are picked up after 6:00 p.m. will be subject to the same late fee penalties as
all other students.
COMPUTER LOAN PROGRAM
Renbrook has embarked upon a program to assist employees (no family members) in the purchase of personal
computers. There are no restrictions on the brand of equipment or dealer, yet individuals should recognize the
school’s contacts and expertise in this area are valuable and could substantially reduce the cost of ownership.
General details and procedures are as follows:
1. Employees will be eligible after working at Renbrook for at least one year.
