ALKALINE ‘SUPER-FOODS’
Eat any of these foods every day in MyMT™ Liver-Lover Phase. A ‘super’ food is scientifcally
evidenced to be rich in nutrients (vitamins and minerals) that contribute to the health of the
body.
SPINACH – This is your nutritional power-house. Buy
organic if possible. Spinach is rich in
chlorophyll, a potent alkaliser and blood-
booster.
KALE - Kale is anti-inflammatory because it is anti-
oxidant rich. This means it is full of healthy
nutrients, espeically non-haem iron. Put this
super-food into your M MT™ Tool-box
because, when steamed before eating, it is
your cholesterol-lowering helper.
CUCUMBER – This is your hydrating food. It is 95% water as well as being loaded with anti-
oxidants and lignens.
BROCCOLI - Broccoli is in the same family as cabbage, brussel sprouts and cauliflower.
These are all cruciferous vegies. They must become part of your Liver-Lover
Armoury. This is because they all breakdown to produce Indole-3-Carbinol (L-
3C). This substance is crucial in the fight against inflammation as well as
oestrogen metabolism.
AVOCADO - MyMT™ has listed avocado as one of our alkaline super-foods because of its
nutrient abundance. With high levels of Vitamin K, Folate, Vitamin C,
Potassium and B5, B6 vitamins, this
food is essential for menopausal
women. They don’t contain
cholesterol and contain more
potassium than bananas. They are
loaded with heart-healthy mono-
unsaturated fats, fibre and can
lower artery-blocking tri-glycerides.
