Stage 2: Reaction phase
do its job.
If this is a true acute inflammation, with proper
medical treatment this usually takes about 2 weeks
to resolve. However, if you are in the reaction
phase and are simply given an anti-inflammatory
medicine which simply blocks the inflammatory
reaction (Aspirin, alleve, motrin, advil, steroid
injection, cortisol injection, celebrex, etc) you have
suppressed the pain and other symptoms but you
have also prevented the immune system from doing
its job. The immune system cannot clean the
bacteria or toxin out which was damaging the tissue
in the first place. The underlying cause remains and
can continue to damage the body. The body then
transitions into the deposition phase.
