Stage 4: The Impregnation Phase
During the impregnation stage, the extracellular
matrix (space around the cells) becomes so
inundated with waste products, toxins, extra protein
etc that the lymphatic system can no longer
efficiently and effectively clear these out. The
waste products and toxins build up and now begin
to bind to the fibrous network of the extracellular
matrix and change the environment around the
cells.
During the impregnation stage, similar to the
deposition stage, there may not be many overt
symptoms because the changes have not yet begun
to affect your cells. (That is the next stage) One
way to see, however, that the extracellular matrix
has made the transition from the deposition phase
to the impregnation stage is that the coating on the
tongue can get thicker.
In theory, you should be able to easily see
through the coating on your tongue to the pink
tissue below. If you cannot see the tongue body
through the coating, you are in the impregnation
stage and the thicker the tongue coating, the worse
