Stage 3: The Deposition Phase
The body is designed to protect itself. If
possible, it does not want toxins or anything else
harmful to reach the cells and do them damage. The
way everything reaches your cells is through the
blood stream. However, between the blood stream
and your cells, there is a space called the
extracellular matrix. The extracellular matrix has
many roles, one of which is that it serves as a filter
between the blood vessels and the cells.
If toxins begin to build up in the body faster
than your kidneys and liver can clear them out, the
body will try to temporarily store them in the
extracellular matrix. This is a measure to try and
keep the toxins from reaching the cells and doing
them damage. The theoretical strategy here is to
hold them here temporarily until the lymphatic
system can clear them from the local area. Then the
kidneys and liver can clear them from the body.
Many times this strategy works well and over
time the toxins are cleared from the body and the
cells remain healthy. Other times, due to various
factors such kidney, liver or lymphatic vessel
