number and Regina’s three digit code he called the number back from a pay
phone. Dee Dee answered the telephone and said hello, then passed the
telephone to Regina. As she got on the telephone, she said, hi baby all is well,
just wanted to let you know that I had made it to New York. Vance knew she
was nervous because she never greeted him with hi baby, it was always hi
Vance. After the short but informative conversation, Vance told Raheem that
they needed to go to Staten Island where Dee Dee lived and sit on her house
and move when they moved. Bet, Raheem said.

When Vance and Raheem’s plane landed; Raheem told Vance, “National
Rental Car have a car waiting for us at the airport.” The car was a 1987 Buick

Raheem pulled two plastics bags from under the seat and gave one of the
bags to Vance. The bags each had a nine milliner meter (9mm) with two 16

of the rental car gate headed towards the city. Vance was relieved that he had

field. Raheem seem to be the same, no words had to be spoken between
them, and they both knew how to get down. When the car pulled up a couple
of doors down from Dee Dee’s house Raheem cut the engine off. Vance
loaded his gun and placed the extra clip in his sock for easy retrieval just in
case he got pinned down. Raheem did the same thing, they looked at each
other and Raheem said, brother I got your back until my last breath. Vance
