Study period and study sites: Field trails were performed in 2014-2017, sampling
race horses in all 6 study sites in 3 zones, including 3 sites in the grassland zone

(Ulaanbaatar, Olzeet district; Baganuur; Argalant soum, Tov Aimag), 3 sites in the
forested zone (Ulaanbaatar, Gachuurt district; Sumber soum Tov aimag; Jargalant

soum Tov aimag) and the 1 in Gobi zone (Sumber soum, Gobisumber aimag).
Laboratory trail procedures were conducted at Mongolia V.E.T. Net NGO “Enerekh”

Equine Training Center and in the Helminthology and Arahno Entomology and

Protozoa laboratories of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Mongolia.
