Election Day workers should receive their check 3 to 4 weeks after working. Social
Security and Medicare will not be deducted from your checks if you earn less than
PAYROLL
$1,700 for working at the polls during the year. If you are working at an Adopt-A-
Precinct the rules are different check with the SOE office for details.
No person or group may solicit voters inside the polling place. No person or group
may solicit voters within 100 feet of entrance to the polling place or early voting site.
The words “solicit” or “solicitation” include such things as:
Asking someone for his or her Distributing any political or campaign
vote material or handout
SOLICITATION Asking for someone’s opinion Asking someone for his or her signature
& Asking for a contribution on a petition
EXIT POLLING Conducting a poll Selling any type of item
There is only one exception to the no solicitation law and it applies to the media or
others who are allowed to conduct exit polling activities.
The Clerk, along with the Poll Deputy will designate an area within the 100ft zone
for exit polling. Subject to the exception discussed, no person or group may solicit
voters within 100-feet of the entrance to the polling place
If you are not working in the precinct that you vote in, please request a vote by mail
ballot or vote early. Early voting will take place for the Primary Election August 18th
VOTE BY MAIL through the 25 . Please call the office for times and locations. If you vote by mail,

EARLY VOTE your ballot must be returned to our office in BUSHNELL prior to 7:00 pm on Election
Day. If you work in the same precinct that you vote in, please do not vote in the
presence of voters. Perception is everything.
WRITE-IN Florida law allows this only for the General Election. Write-In Candidate must be
CANDIDATES certified by the state before they can be considered valid. Voters can fill in the
oval and Write-In the Candidate on the line indicated on the Ballot.
